AAR Events

Our SKS session on “Emerging Scholars” will take place on Saturday, 9:00 am – 11:30 am, at the Hilton Bayfront-Aqua 310A (Third Level). Professor Lee Barrett, Lancaster Theological Seminary, will be presiding, and our panelists and their topics include Amber Bowen, Eastern University, “Phenomenology and Philosophical Hermeneutics,” Tekoa Robinson, Villanova University, “Constructive and Systematic Theology and Spirituality,”Troy Wellington Smith, University of California, Berkeley, “Scandinavian Languages and Literatures, Book History,” and Donnell Williamson, Brown University, “Philosophy of Religion.”

This session will be followed by our annual business meeting with the main item on the agenda being a discussion of the revised SKS Mission Statement and Constitution.

Note also that there will also be several sessions of the Kierkegaard, Religion, and Culture Unit at the AAR this year, as well as several other papers on Kierkegaard in various sessions. The searchable AAR Program Book is available here.
